During the past twelve months, Year 12 student Freya Simonsen has represented the College as a Rural Youth Ambassador, part of Country Education Partnership’s ‘Rural Inspire’ program. Freya is pictured below with the other youth ambassadors who come from smaller rural schools throughout Victoria along with the patron of CEP Mr Bailleu Myer.
The group have worked together under the guidance of CEPs Chief Executive Officer Phil Brown to research issues relevant to students in rural schools and they have met with the Minister of Education Mr James Merlino to discuss their findings.
Freya also presented the group’s findings to the Annual General Meeting which was attended by many teachers and Department of Education representatives from around Victoria. Congratulations to Freya for her outstanding efforts within the program.
