Colac Division Tennis

Dylan Muxworthy and Will Van Maasdyk represented Lorne P-12 College at the Colac Division Tennis trials in Colac on Thursday 9th March. The competition took place at Colac Lawn Courts and was a round robin singles competition against students from the Colac Area Primary schools. Both students competed very well against some tough competition with some victories in their games. Well done!

Great Western Team 2

Greater Western Swimming

Congratulations to seven students from Lorne P-12 College in Yr 3 – 10 who qualified and competed at the Greater Western Swim competition in Ballarat on Friday 24th March.

These students were:

Pema Hack, Lucas Van Maasdyk, Kiara McKerron, Lucia Hill, Fraser Balderas, Juna Hack and Oscar Balderas.

All students competed strongly against very tough competition and achieved very good results.

Oscar Balderas won his Backstroke event and has qualified for the State Finals – Well done!!

Otway Cluster Athletics

On Wednesday 29th March, students from yr 3 – 11 travelled to Apollo Bay P-12 College to participate in the Otway Cluster Athletics with Apollo Bay and Lavers Hill.

The event bought together students from all three schools to move around each of the events as an age group to compete in the events that they qualified in.

All students represented our school with pride and mad many social connections with the students from the other schools.

Many of our students achieved some excellent results and well done to all that participations. A big thank you to staff and parents who assisted in the various roles – it was a great success and we look forward to more opportunities to create connections with the cluster schools.
