Sports Report Week 6

Coastal Swim

6 students from Lorne P-12 College competed in the Coastal Swim championships on Friday 1st March at Apollo Bay P-12 College, which saw our students compete against swimmers from Apollo Bay P-12 College, Colac Secondary College and Trinity College.

The weather tested the swimmers as it hit 36 degrees during the day but the cool water of the pool was a nice relief for the competitors.

The team consisted of:

Caitlin Brennan, Aaron Griffiths, Kiara McKerron, Juna Hack, Fraser Balderas and Tasmyn Fulton.

We had some fantastic success with our small group of students with the following results:

House Athletic Sports on Thursday 14th March 2019 at Stribling Reserve, Lorne

On Thursday 14th of March students in Years 3 -12 will be participating in the House Athletics Sports from 9.30am until 3pm.

It is an expectation that all students in Years 3 – 12 attend and participate unless they provide a signed note from parents to explain why they cannot participate. These students will be expected to assist with a job on the day.

Students need to have plenty of food and water, hat, sunscreen and sports uniform. Students are also encouraged to wear their house colours to support their team. Parents are encouraged to come and watch the events.

Students in Yr. 3 – 12 who place first and second in each event will qualify for the Otway Cluster Athletics Sports in Apollo Bay on Wednesday 20th March.
